Frequently asked

How do I import a deck?

Phlip imports flashcard deck packages — .apkg files. Save an .apkg to your device, for example to the Files app, then open it in Phlip, or use the import option inside the app to pick the file. Both the newest .apkg format and older ones are supported, including decks with audio and images.

Does Phlip work offline?

Yes — completely. Phlip runs entirely on your device and makes no network connections. Everything works with no internet at all.

Will my review progress from another app carry over?

No. Imported cards start fresh for review in Phlip — no scheduling history from previous applications is carried over. Phlip simply builds its own schedule as you review.

Where is my data stored? Do you collect anything?

Nothing is collected, and no personal information is taken from your device. Your decks, media, review history, and settings are stored only on your device and never leave it. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Audio or images from my deck aren't showing.

Media comes from inside the .apkg you imported, so make sure the deck was exported with its media included. If a specific deck still gives you trouble, email me and let me know which deck it is.

How do I delete my data?

Because everything lives inside the app, deleting Phlip from your device removes all of its local data with it.

Phlip is a fully offline, spaced-repetition flashcard app for iPhone and iPad.
